Section 801.1 is amended to read as follows:

801.1 Procedure. When any work or demolition is to be done pursuant to Section this Code, the Building Official shall cause the work to be accomplished by private contract under his direction. Plans and specifications therefor may be prepared by said building official, or he may employ such architectural and engineering assistance on a contract basis as he may deem reasonably necessary. Standard City contractual procedures shall be followed.
