Except as otherwise specifically provided for in this article, or in the ordinance granting a franchise, every holder, or operator, of any business under a franchise granted under this article, shall file annually with the City Clerk, on such date as shall be fixed by the Council, a report for the preceding year. Such report shall be in writing, verified by the affidavit of such person, or persons or officer of the corporation, as the Council shall direct, and shall contain a statement, in such form and details as shall from time to time be prescribed by the Council, of all the gross receipts arising from all the business under said franchise, within the city, for the year immediately preceding such report. Such report shall contain such further information as may be required by the Council concerning the character and amount of business done under said franchise, and the amount of receipts and expenses connected therewith, and also an itemized account of the money expended under said franchise, for new construction, repairs and betterments during the year. The Council shall have the power to call for special report, at any time covering any specific period. (Amended November 3, 1964)
