8.16.060 Selling—Amplified sound requirements.

A. An ice cream truck may only use amplified music or speech emitted via sound equipment during the following hours:
1. Nine a.m. to five p.m. on Sundays; and
2. Eight a.m. to eight-thirty p.m. from May 1st through September, Monday through Saturday; and
3. Nine a.m. to five p.m. from October 1st through April on Mondays through Saturdays.
B. The volume of sound from any vehicle referenced in subsection A of this section shall be controlled so that it will not be audible for a distance in excess of one hundred fifty feet from the vehicle upon which such sound equipment is located, and so that such volume is not unreasonably loud, raucous, jarring, disturbing or a nuisance.
