2.51.020 Director of recreation and parks—Duties and responsibilities generally.

A. The duties of the director of recreation and parks shall be as follows:
1. Supervise the activities of employees in that department;
2. Prepare or cause to be prepared the annual budget for the department of recreation and parks for approval by the city council;
3. Attend meetings, consult with, and advise the city manager on recreation and park matters;
4. Maintain recreation and park records;
5. Recommend the adoption of standards for parks, facilities, program and financial support;
6. Promulgate rules and regulations for the conduct of activities within city parks and recreational areas for the preservation of property and the orderly use of such property;
7. Uphold the laws and ordinances governing city parks. (Ord. 3852, 1998)
