2.16.030 Water resources manager.
The duties of the manager of water resources shall be as follows:
A. Supervise the activities of employees in the department;
B. Regulate the operation of the canal system within the jurisdiction of the city;
C. Attend meetings, consult with, and advise the city manager on water-related matters which may have an effect on the city;
D. Supervise administrative and clerical work and prepare department budget;
E. Maintain water records on all water from the Kern River under the ownership of the city;
F. Cooperate with those districts and entities contracting with the city for water supplies;
G. Make recommendations from time to time on the operation of the water program of the city;
H. Supervise the activities of the agricultural water, domestic water, wastewater farms and stormwater divisions of the department;
I. Supervise the activities of the Kern River Levee District and report on the activities thereof to the city water board and the city council as required. (Ord. 4960 § 1, 2019; Ord. 3967 §§ 3, 4, 2000; Ord. 2787 §§ 4, 5, 1982; prior code § 1.45.040)
