Any person requesting a certificate of compliance or conditional certificate of compliance pursuant to Section 66499.35 of the Map Act shall submit a written request to the city engineer. Such request shall be in the form the city engineer determines is necessary to issue a certificate of compliance or conditional certificate of compliance. Required information may include, but not be limited to, title reports, plot plans and deeds. The city engineer shall issue a certificate of compliance or conditional certificate of compliance within fifty days after certification of the environmental impact report, adoption of a negative declaration, or a determination by the local agency that the project is exempt from the requirements of Division 13 (commencing with Section 21000) of the Public Resources Code.
