Except as otherwise provided in this chapter, that certain code entitled Uniform Code for the Abatement of Dangerous Buildings, sponsored and copyrighted by the International Conference of Building Officials, 1997 Edition, a copy of which is on file with the building department of the city of Bakersfield for use and examination by the public, is adopted by reference and enacted as the Uniform Code for the Abatement of Dangerous Buildings of the city, for the purpose stated therein and with the exceptions and subject to the amendments and deletions of the provisions thereof provided in this chapter.
