Any person, firm, corporation or association violating any of the provisions of this chapter, or who fails to comply with any of the provisions of this chapter, shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor, and upon conviction thereof shall be punishable by a fine of not exceeding three hundred dollars, and not less than fifty dollars, or by imprisonment in the county jail for not more than ninety days and not less than twenty days, or by both such fine and imprisonment.
