2.40.010 Purposes of chapter—Expenditures.

A. The declared purposes of this chapter are:
1. To provide for the preparation and carrying out of plans for the protection of persons and property within this city in the event of an emergency;
2. The direction of the emergency organization; and
3. The coordination of the emergency functions of this city with all other public agencies, corporations, organizations and affected private persons.
B. Any expenditures made in connection with such emergency services shall be conclusively deemed to be for the direct benefit and protection of the inhabitants of the city. (Prior code § 1.80.010)
