The city council of the city shall cease to be the redevelopment agency of the city; and the offices of the members of the redevelopment agency of the city appointed by the council pursuant to Section 2.24.020 shall become effective on the date and at the time the council resolution referred to in Section 2.24.020 becomes effective.
