A. There are established through traffic routes for the movement of vehicles having a manufacturer’s gross vehicle rating of twenty-five thousand pounds or more designed for carrying merchandise, freight or material, as follows:

1. “F” Street, from 24th Street northerly to Golden State Avenue State Highway 204;

2. “Q” Street, from 23rd Street to Espee Street;

3. Union Avenue, from Columbus Street southerly to the city limits;

4. All that part of Mt. Vernon Avenue that is in the city limits;

5. All of 34th Street;

6. 30th Street, from Chester Avenue easterly to Espee Street;

7. Chester Avenue, from Golden State Avenue to Beardsley Avenue;

8. All of Espee Street;

9. California Avenue, from Real Road easterly to the city limits;

10. All that part of Brundage Lane that is in the city limits;

11. 22nd Street between Golden State Avenue and Union Avenue;

12. All of Niles and West Niles Street within the city limits;

13. All of Monterey and West Monterey Street, west of Brown Street;

14. All of Sumner Street;

15. East Truxtun Avenue from Sumner Street to the easterly city limits;

16. All of Buck Owens Boulevard within the city limits;

17. All of Oak Street between Brundage Lane and 24th Street;

18. Manor Street from Columbus Avenue to north city limits;

19. All of Gosford Road within the city limits;

20. All of Coffee Road within the city limits;

21. All of Buena Vista Road within the city limits;

22. All of White Lane west of South “H” Street;

23. South “H” Street, from White Lane to Brundage Lane;

24. All of Stockdale Highway within the city limits;

25. Panorama Drive, from Haley Street to Mt. Vernon Avenue;

26. China Grade Loop, from Haley Street to north city limits;

27. All of Alfred Harrell Highway within the city limits;

28. All of Panama Lane within the city limits;

29. District Boulevard, from Stine Road to Gosford Road;

30. Stine Road, from White Lane to Panama Lane;

31. All of 23rd Street, west of M Street;

32. All of 24th Street, west of M Street;

33. All of Rosedale Highway within the city limits;

34. Mohawk Street between Rosedale Highway and the Westside Parkway;

35. All of the Westside Parkway within the city limits;

36. All of 7th Standard Road within the city limits.

B. Points of beginning and of termination of the above named truck routes are descriptive only and not indicative of direction of travel.

C. When such truck routes are designated by appropriate signs, the operator of any vehicle having a manufacturer’s gross vehicle weight rating of twenty-five thousand pounds or over shall drive on such routes and none other, except when necessary to traverse another street or streets to destinations for the purpose of loading or unloading merchandise, freight or materials, but then only by such deviation from the nearest truck route as is reasonably necessary. The operator or owner of any such vehicle shall not park or permit such vehicle to be parked along any street within the city, including designated truck routes, except when necessary to park for the purpose of loading or unloading merchandise, freight or materials, and then only to the extent such parking is reasonably necessary.

D. This section shall have no application to any vehicle which is subject to Sections 1031 to 1036, inclusive, of the Public Utilities Code of the state; or to vehicles operated by the federal government or the state, or any agency, department, political subdivision or municipal corporation thereof; or to vehicles of a public utility while necessarily in use in the construction, installation or repair of any public utility.
